DESCRIPTION:Vocational Visit to GERALDTON FLEXI SCHOOL Geraldton Flexible S
 chool (GFS) has been operating since 2010\, providing a much-needed altern
 ative education option for young people in the Midwest region of Western A
 ustralia.  GFS is one of the few educational settings in regional Western 
 Australia specifically designed to support young people who have disengage
 d from mainstream schooling. Our focus is on creating pathways for student
 s to reconnect with learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.  T
 he philosophy of Geraldton Flexible School draws on the spirit and vision 
 of Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA) and is grounded in the EREA Char
 ter\, which guides our commitment to inclusive community\, justice and sol
 idarity\, and the holistic development of young people.  As a Curriculum a
 nd Re-Engagement in Education (CARE) school\, GFS provides young people wi
 th the opportunity to re-engage with education through personalised learni
 ng\, strong relationships\, and flexible pathways.  Central to our approac
 h is a framework for negotiating expectations and resolving conflict known
  as Operation by Principles. These principles — Respect\, Honesty\, Safe
  & Legal\, and Participation — reflect the social expectations that enab
 le communities to function well. At GFS\, both young people and staff use 
 these shared principles to guide learning\, build positive relationships\,
