A very busy evening as members and guests ventured out to John Willcock College courtesy of project manager PP Chris
The main business of the evening was the induction of 2 new members courtesy of our membership director PP Greg Sivwright.
A very big warm welcome to our new members John Regan sponsored by PP Greg Sivwright and Steeve Poligadu sponsored by PP Andrew Short.  Greg and Andrew will also be the mentors for our new members.
Following our directors reports a pizza dinner and our guest speakers finished off a very successful Vocational visit.  Well done Vocational director Greg Pike and thanks to the partners and friends who also attended, 1 of which travelled all the way from South Africa... Lovely to welcome Ann's sister Gail to the meeting.

Presidents report
Mark Worthington and I attended a very positive meeting with the City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Steyn, City CEO Ross McKim and Manager of economic Development Trish Palmonari to discuss the Yellow submarine project.
Along with some extra funding and directions to apply for a "Durack Stronger Communities Programme" grant from the City representatives we also received very encouraging support from the executives.
Fund raising will now start in earnest.

Also reported that PP Tom Thuijs will take over the role of secretary from next week and PP Shain Forth will take on Director of Youth programmes.
Big thanks you to both of them.

Directors reports:
Club Service-  Nygal Brooks reported that the Wildflower Tour details will be sent out very soon.  Now looking at hiring a bus to take advantage of the exceptional season.

Community- Michael Powell reminded everyone that we are looking for any hats you are prepared to donate.  Drop off at City Hive or Leading Edge Electronics.

Youth Service- PP Tom Thuijs wore his other hat and spoke about the forthcoming Wild West Bike Tour on the weekend.  Tom is still looking for helpers over the 2 day event.

Youth Exchange-  Lisa Marie told us she is now a competent surfer (well she had her first go anyway) and has survived another game of water polo.  Lisa will be helping out at the weekend event.
